In a class-ridden society, people are divided on the socio-economic, cultural, religious, linguistic, regional, racial and ethnic basis. Class divisions are antithetical to the spirit of social justice. The idea of classless society is deeply embedded in the eternal teachings of the Sikh Gurus. Sikh Gurus tried to eliminate the fabricated class divisions to create a free, fair and classless society. They denounced the role of socio-economic and political dominant classes and elevated the socio-economic status of downtrodden masses. Sikh socio-religious institutions have also played crucial role in the elimination of racial arrogance, religious intolerance, socio-cultural apartheid and economic exploitation of working classes and inculcated the spirit of coexistence, tolerance, mutual love and cooperation among people.

This study examines the relationship between stock markets and exchange rate to ascertain the influence of stock price movements and exchange rate changes on each other. We use Johansen’s cointegration test to check the long-term interdependencies between these economic indicators/ proxies. We also use Granger’s causality to test the causal relationship between these indicators. We find that there is no long-run relationship between Indian equity indices and exchange rate, however, Granger causality test shows that exchange rate has precedence over stock market prices.

This paper is an attempt to deal with issue of teacher’s accountability for learning outcomes of the learner. As the issue is of subjective nature, investigator thought to employ Q-methodology developed by William Stephenson (1902-1989). Methodology is alternative of R-methodology which deals with positivistic research. In case of Q-methodology it is inter-person correlation put to factor analysis instead of inter-item correlation as in case of R-methodology. Investigator finalized thirty nine items supposedly covering the concept under investigation. Data was collected by using ipsative choice method of Q-sorting, which involves placing items (written on cards) in seven piles (having 1, 3, 8, 15, 8, 3, and 1items) on a continuum from least approved to most approved. These items are scored from 1 to 7 in respect of piles moving from least approved to most approved measures. This 60x60 matrix was put to find inter-person correlation. Depending on inter-correlation values groups of persons were discovered. For each group responses by the members for all the items were averaged to find rank order for items. These items are then placed back in the Q-distribution to understand most approved and least approved measures for a group.

An individual should understand the value of time for him to succeed in all aspects of life. People who waste time are the ones who fail to create an identity of their own.
