To fulfil the objectives of the present study, 100 boys (Ave. age 15.17 years) with no sports participation were also selected for the present study. The selected subjects were studying in various govt. and private educational institutions in and around Nagpur city. Random sampling method was used to select the data. To assess eating disorder in selected subjects, Eating Disorder Inventory prepared by Agashe and Karkare (2007) was used. Result reveals that eating disorder in non player boys was found to be significantly on higher magnitude as compared to group of player boys. It was concluded that menace of disordered eating in the modern world may be controlled through participation in sports.

Evolution of an equitable world order. The emphasis on the commitment to a new co-operative security order is also welcome, which would demand the strengthening of the UN. Equally important is the focus on global nuclear disarmament, and the support extended to plans for 'systematic progressive' nuclear arms reduction by Russia and the US, while calling for other nuclear weapon states to join this process. Unfortunately, proliferation after North Korea's claim to have a weapons programme does not seem to have figured in any noticeable way. The most challenging aspect of the joint commitment, however, would be the up-gradation of the economic and trade relations between Russia and India to which both countries have promised to give special focus. Bilateral trade has been declining for a number of years now. Several measures have been identified for future action. Both countries had agreed during the Delhi summit in 1988 to double the trade in the following five years. In reality, trade dropped to negligible levels from which it has been struggling to emerge. There are objective reasons for this poor performance. But the success or otherwise of strategic partnership in future would be decided by the progress in trade and economic relations between the two countries. A lot of hard work would have to be done by both sides to provide life to this aspect of the relationship and add substance to an old partnership.

Sociolinguistic competence is an aspect of SLA which has received increasing attention in the past twenty years. Whereas in the 60's and 70's syntax and morphology received most attention from researchers, it has been felt increasingly that second language learning research could not be confined simply to a limited number of these areas despite the important work done on these and despite the fact that these were indeed crucial to an understanding of the process of language acquisition. Increasingly, interesting work has been carried out in the areas of sociolinguistics, pragmatics and discourse.

Modernity is a matter of sensibility. To be modern is to be aware of the contemporary scenario as changed by the growth of knowledge; a sensitive perception of the world in the present state of knowledge. The perennial stuff of literature is reality. But the concept of reality is an ongoing process; it keeps on changing with the development of knowledge. We are aware of the huge knowledge explosion during the beginning of the century. The modern writers who wanted to be modern had to come to terms with a view of human beings emerging from the ideas of these philosophers. They have to read The Origin of Species (1859), Das Capital (1867), The Interpretation of Dreams (1900), The Psychology of Everyday Life (1901), etc. to look into the history of the development of human beings.

This is a comparision of jpeg-ls coding and lossless compression scheme. Many digital cameras there use single sensor for make use of bayer color filter arrey (CFA) first interpolated demosaicing process to form full color image before compressed for storage, for that type demosicing first processing sequence was inefficient in a way that the demosaicing process always introduces some redundancy which should eventually be removed in the compression. For that there is an alternative process which carries out compression before demosaicing is proposed. Here the CFA image image is divided into green subimage and nongreen sub image. Green image contains only green samples also non green sub image contains red and blue samples. the green subimage is first processed in the intensity domain and the nongreen subimage is then processed in the color difference domain to reduce the spectral redundancy. context matching based prediction technique is used To remove spatial dependency. For better compression performance than lossless CFA image compression scheme context matching based prediction technique is used the two subimages are then encoded with adaptive rice coding simulation results show that proposed scheme.

In this paper, work a strategy of analysis, modeling and simulation of IGBT-VSC based DSTATCOM improving the power quality of distribution systems is being presented. A mathematical model of DSTATCOM has been implemented and MATLAB model of the system is implemented for simulation studies. DSTATCOM is an important device in correcting power factor, maintaining constant distribution voltage, and mitigating harmonics. IGBT-VSC is a neutral point clamped structure (NPC) using a three level pole structure. Three modes of operation are assessed, i.e voltage control mode, power factor control mode and active power control mode. The multilevel control technique employed is based on the instantaneous power theory on the synchronous-rotating d-q reference frame. The results obtained the good performance of the DSTATCOM in controlling the voltage sag, swell and three phase fault by injecting the voltage.

American women began their study of the stereotyped characterization of women in men's writing in 1960s. Mary Elman, in Thinking about Women (1968) discusses stereotypes of women in literature written by men and alternative and subversive points of view in some writings by women. But the more fierce attack on the male literary tradition was made by Kate Millett in Sexual Politics (1970). She explores how women are dehumanized in the novels of male writers like Henry Miller, Norman Mailer, Jean Genet and D. H. Lawrence. According to her, patriarchy is the sole cause of women's oppression where women are subordinated by the male, and they are assigned an inferior position. She argues that 'sex' is biologically determined but 'gender' is a psychological concept which is cultural identity.

The present paper attempts to explore identity crisis depicted in Bharati Mukherjee's Desirable Daughters. The novel unfolds the story of three sisters, who are settled in different countries, and are suffering to find out their own identities as they come to realize their marginal position as well as substitute role in family and society. The quest of its protagonist Tara for a separate identity in the traditional bound society leads her place to place, but wherever she moves, she finds the spaces of tradition and a fixed sense of identity as an Indian immigrant. The paper is divided into three sections. The first section discusses the diasporic consciousness depicted in the immigrant writing in general and in the writing of Bharati Mukherjee in particular; the second section analyses identity crisis reflected in the novel Desirable Daughters; and the third section concludes the paper with an overarching statement. Thus, the present paper will be a modest attempt to analyze the novel.

Psychology is concerned with the behaviour and experience of human beings. Human have always, been fascinated by the mind. Yet, the disciplines of psychology and psychiatry only started studying the mind or cognition about 100 years ago. The universe of t he mind is still a dark, vast, unexplored place. It mystifies us. Yet, it is a religion of great promise. If we could learn to develop our values, master basic psychological principles, and increase our self- awareness and motivation, great strides might be made in self-control or self- actualization.

This paper looks at the double welfare framework in India and the part of partnerships as suppliers of social assurance. The point is to find out who is driving and giving government managed savings, training, and wellbeing to casual and formal part specialists and their families. It further endeavors to light up why companies are making moves to address some of welfare needs of the more noteworthy populace as a major aspect of their corporate social obligation programs. Hypothetically, this paper examines India's welfare procuement through the hypothetical lens of a double welfare framework and insider/outcast writing. It is contended that the formal and casual work segments in India are illustrative of two distinctive welfare frameworks: the formal part welfare framework, included 'insiders', and the casual segment welfare framework, made out of 'untouchables'. This welfare dualism is to a great extent made along the lines of standardized savings measures, which basically characterize access to profits focused around the sort of work foundation and the quantity of representatives. The discoveries uncover that organizations are giving social security to casual division laborers as a feature of their corporate social obligation (CSR) activities, as instruction and wellbeing plans, yet they are not adjusting for the shortage of Government welfare procurement due to an ethical basic to 'offer assistance'. We speculation that organizations are, indeed, giving social activities to their own particular corporate profit. It is financial authenticity, not moral basic that is driving CSR in India.
